Presentation of today's session:
• Tell Ss, "In the previous lessons, we learnt what a.m. and p.m. mean, and how
to tell the time."
• Today, we will review activity 3.1.
• Explain the words a.m./p.m./half past/o'clock, and when to use these words.
• Help Ss to understand the words (midnight, noon).
Practice activities:
[Focus on the students who were absent in the previous classes or the shy learners.]
• Divide Ss into pairs (mixing slow learners and advanced learners).
• Tell them to do activity 3.2 in pairs.
• In pairs, one student will show the clock, and the other student will tell the time.
Change their role in turns. [Monitor and support Ss in saying the time properly.]
• Then, tell each student to do activity 4.1 individually.
• After that, tell Ss to work in the same pairs. Ask them to look at the digital
clocks in activity 4.3 and tell the time.
• Monitor and provide feedback to the shy learners.
• Praise them for their participation.
Assessing learning:
• Then, invite some Ss randomly to the front of the class in turns.
