Whether you appeared for the HSC or equivalent examination 2026 under Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, Madrasah or Technical board, your result will be published on the same day. The HSC and equivalent examination results 2026 will be published on Saturday, 31 October 2026. The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee confirmed this date in a notice dated 24 October 2026. Further details will be announced in a press release on Monday, 26 October 2026. This post explains, board by board, how students of every board can check their results. Find your board's section below and note its SMS code, portal and method.

HSC Result 2026 All Boards at a Glance

All boards publish their results on the same day at the same time. So Dhaka Board students get their results on 31 October, just like students of Rajshahi, Chattogram, Sylhet or Madrasah Board. In the nine general boards, the examinations were held with a common question paper. That means students of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur and Mymensingh boards sat for the same question papers.

HSC Result 2026 Date: When Will the Result Be Published?

The HSC Result 2026 will be published on Saturday, 31 October 2026. This date is now confirmed. The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, headed by its president and Dhaka Education Board chairman Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, announced the decision in a notice issued on 24 October 2026.

Earlier, the committee had proposed publishing the results between 25 and 29 October. After a meeting with the Ministry of Education, 29 October was first fixed as the publication date; on 27 October it was moved to 31 October. Detailed information about the publication, including the exact time, will be announced through a press release on Monday, 26 October 2026.

HSC results are usually available online from around 10:00 AM on result day, after the official press briefing. The exact time will be confirmed in the 26 October press release. Students should try checking after 10:00 AM on 31 October. The result will not be available before that time.

Do not trust rumours about the result date. Many Facebook pages and YouTube channels spread wrong dates. Only the education board's official notice and trusted news outlets should be believed. The 31 October date in this post comes from the Dhaka Board Chairman's announcement of 27 October 2026 (the 24 October 2026 notice had first fixed 29 October).

How to Check HSC Result 2026 for Any Board (Brief)

The method is the same for every board. Only the board name and the SMS code are different. A brief summary is given below. The full step-by-step guide, marksheet download, worked GPA examples and what to do when the server is busy are in this post: https://www.teachers.gov.bd/blog/details/852346

Check the Result Online

Go to educationboardresults.gov.bd or eboardresults.com. Select the examination HSC/Alim/Equivalent. Select the year 2026. Select your board's name. Enter your roll number and registration number, then submit. Your result will appear on the screen. For the detailed marksheet with subject-wise marks, use eboardresults.com. Every subject's grade and grade point are shown there separately.

Checking the result online needs both the roll number and the registration number. Both are printed on your admit card and registration card. Write both numbers down in one place before result day.

Check the Result by SMS

If you do not have internet access, or if the websites are busy, you can get your result by SMS. The SMS method needs only your roll number. Type:

HSC Board-Code Roll 2026

Then send it to 16222. The code of every board is given in the board-wise sections below. Alim students should type ALIM MAD Roll 2026. You will receive a reply SMS with your result, including your GPA.

Institution Result with EIIN

To see the results of a whole college at once, you need the college's EIIN. EIIN means Educational Institute Identification Number. Every college has a separate six-digit EIIN. On eboardresults.com or educationboardresults.gov.bd, select Institution Result, then the examination, year, board and EIIN, and submit. The results of all students of that college will appear together. If you do not know the EIIN, ask the college office.

Server Busy on Result Day? Do This

After 10:00 AM on result day, hundreds of thousands of people try to check results at the same time. If one website does not open, try the other one. If the websites do not open, use the SMS method. Do not press the refresh button again and again — try once, wait one or two minutes, then try again. Checking results is completely free. Anyone who asks for money to give the result early is cheating you.

How HSC GPA Is Calculated (Brief)

GPA means Grade Point Average. The highest GPA is 5.00. The grade and grade point for the marks in each subject are given below.

In HSC there are usually 6 compulsory subjects and 1 optional (4th) subject. To calculate GPA, first add the grade points of the 6 compulsory subjects. Then add the extra part of the optional subject: subtract 2.00 from the optional subject's grade point and add the remainder. Divide the total by 6. That is your GPA. If the optional subject's grade point is 2.00 or less, nothing is added from it. If you fail in any compulsory subject, the overall result is a fail. Failing the optional subject does not make the overall result a fail. A detailed guide to GPA calculation with worked examples is here: https://www.teachers.gov.bd/blog/details/852346

HSC Board Challenge 2026: How to Apply for Re-Scrutiny (Brief)

If you think the marks in any subject are wrong, you can apply for a board challenge (re-scrutiny). In a board challenge, the answer script is checked again to see whether the marks were counted and added correctly. The script is not re-evaluated from scratch; only counting mistakes are checked.

Applications for board challenge open after the result is published. The last date, the fee and the application method are announced in the education board's notice after the result. At the time of writing this post (25 October 2026), the board challenge fee and dates have not been announced. So no date or fee is written here. After the result is published, read the board's notice and apply with the correct information. A dedicated post on the board challenge is coming soon. Once the application deadline passes, you cannot apply — so keep an eye on the board's notices after the result is published.
